Software Engineer – Conversational AI

STELLA Automotive AI is growing, and we’re looking for a Software Engineer who’s excited to build the next generation of conversational AI products for the automotive industry. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Conversational AI solutions and supporting services.
  • Implement scalable, efficient, and reliable features across our AI-driven product stack
  • Be part of a cross-functional team to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code in C# (.NET).
  • Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance in production.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and contribute to best practices in engineering.
  • End-to-end ownership of LLM development: fine-tuning, prompt optimization, evaluation, and deployment into production systems.
  • Build and maintain evaluation pipelines to measure LLM performance (accuracy, hallucination rate, conversation quality, latency).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or equivalent technical education with excellent grades from a reputable institution.
  • Strong foundations in computing mathematics and algorithms.
  • 0-3 years of professional experience in software engineering.
  • Proficiency in at C# (.NET).

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Kubernetes
  • Experience in Terraform
  • Experience implementing solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Experience working with vector databases or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
  • Ability to design and maintain training/inference pipelines (data prep, tokenization, ONNX/optimized runtimes).
  • Familiarity with AI/ML, Natural Language Understanding (NLU), and/or Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR).
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services.
  • Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent).
  • Understanding of evaluation metrics for conversational AI (intent accuracy, coherence, latency, fallback handling).

Work Location Requirement

To support real‑time collaboration with our core engineering and product teams, this role is open only to candidates located in the U.S. Eastern or Central time zones.
